I must take issue with the approach being advocated here: namely, the
rejection of well-accepted and well-documented scientific knowledge on the
basis of cryptic, nonsensical objections. >>

R' Dr. Professor Marvin Antelman a scientist who does research at Weissman
Inst. Rechovot, Israel can confirm change in ozone level pre to post flood
and the gradual build up of radiation level resulting. That is why
longevity gradually went from 1000 to 120 and aging process accelerated,
age of maturity used to be 60+ preflood and is 12-13 today.

Basic commentators on the Torah mention boiling waters etc. The force of
the flood and the events that accompanied it reshaped the earth and
environment in days. The computer program Terra developed by scientist John
Baumgardner a geophysicist at National lab US dept. of energy proves at the
very least it could be true.

Dr. Lee Spetner proves in His book 'Not by chance shattering the Modern
Theory of Evolution' Judaic Press ' 5757 The biological evidence proves
life did not evolve randomly over a long period of time, but everything of
value was built into creation.

Aside from the pressure of the flood etc. There has been documented a
universal pressure throughout the universe. Matter (light / atoms whatever)
are subject to this pressure like we are to gravity. Change the gravity
level and alter the possibilities. So Hashem who created the universe and
the pressure likley manipulated it when spreading out the heavens during
the first days of creation. That is the likley solution to why some stars
and other components of the universe appear older than the universe itself.
