This is a fascinating book. It would be interesting to see Dr. Spetner team
up with Michael Behe (author of Darwin's Black Box) and other
anti-evolutionists to come up with a real challenge to evolutionary theory.

Articles in US News & World Report (June 16,1997, pg 55) show how
geophysically the earth could be 5757 years old and rapid currents from the
flood formed the grand canyon etc. You can find this article at
http://www.usnews.com/usnews/issue/970616/16terr.htm Read it with an open
mind and most importantly, with a grain of salt. I don't think he's
correct. But I do feel that in spite of all the anti-religious bias out
there, we'll see more harmony between Torah and science. The Big Bang is
now the standard cosmological model of the universe. Scientific journals
have published experiments by Hall, Cairns and Foster that disproves the
idea that all mutations are random. Of course, there will be objections to
any claim that supports the Torah, but we can make progress if we are
focused in the search for truth instead of worrying about what people will
say or do in the short run.
