Chapter 141:12
Laws of the Megillah
12. When the blessing, "She'hecheyanu" is recited during the day [by the one reading the Megillah, all those listening] should have in mind that it also applies to the Mitzvos of "Mishloach Manos" (sending portions of food to friends), "Matanos La'evyonim" (giving gifts to the poor), and
participation in the Purim feast (1). Similarly, the "Shaliach Tzibur"
(lit: "representative of the congregation," that is, the one reading the
Megillah for the public) must have these [three] Mitzvos in mind when
reciting the blessing on behalf of the community.
