Chapter 141:11
Laws of the Megillah
11. The person who reads the Megillah, both during the day [of Purim] and
at night, should recite the following three blessings before beginning:
"Al Mikra Megillah," "She'asah nissim" and "She'hecheyanu."
After the conclusion of the reading, the reader rolls up the Megillah
scroll, leaves it in front of him, and then recites the blessing, "Harav
es riveinu." If the reader of the Megillah is a mourner, another person
should recite the blessings, because [it is not appropriate for the
mourner to recite the] "She'hecheyanu" blessing [publicly] (1).
